Lavender is a plant that enjoys the sun but not tolerate moist which prevents its growth and healthy appearance. The most reliable way to grow lavender is to plant its seeds. At the beginning you have to keep the pot in a shady place until the first plants appear. When they grow about 5-6 cm,move the container in a place where can receive plenty of light or transplant into your garden.

Watering:
Guzmania needs watering once or twice a week depending on the season and spray the leaves especially in summer time.When the lower leaves start to wither or take a brown color it needs watering. Place water in the center cup of the plant, the space where the leaves meet.

Fertilizing:
It is good to add a mild fertilizer every two weeks from March to August.
